What Jeremy Hunt's Budget didn't say
Jeremy Hunt's Autumn Statement in the House of Commons on 22nd November 2023 was not what you would expect from a low tax small-state Conservative Government.
Although the cut to National Insurance by 2% was welcome, as were the tax breaks for capital investment in IT, the Corporation Rate remained at 25% for companies with over £250,000 of profit.
